What we teach. Pick the discipline you came for.

Boxing

Sharpen the four corners of boxing — footwork, distance, defence, and the punches that finish exchanges. Sessions blend pad work, bag rounds, and technical sparring so you build real timing instead of just throwing combinations into the air. Beginners welcome; the coaches scale every drill so your first week feels demanding without being overwhelming.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the FCG style — competition-pace rolling on the advanced mats, careful technical drilling on the fundamentals side. Gi and no-gi run on alternating days. New starters spend their first month in the fundamentals stream learning escapes, base, and the core guards before joining the open mat. Belts awarded by the head coach on technical merit, no time-served politics.

Kids MMA

Ages 5 to 12, structured around discipline, focus, and confidence as much as technique. Coaches are DBS-checked and the curriculum builds gradually: balance and falling first, then takedowns, striking, and live drills with appropriate sparring rules. Parents welcome to watch from the gallery — many end up signing up themselves.

MMA

Mixed martial arts taught as one connected sport, not three separate ones. Striking, takedowns, and grappling stitched together so you stop thinking in phases and start reading the whole fight. Sparring is structured — positional rounds first, free rolls only once technique is locked in. Cage available on the Balham mat for fence work.

Muay Thai

The art of eight limbs — fists, elbows, knees, and shins — taught the way it's coached in Bangkok: technical, rhythmic, and with proper clinch work most UK gyms skip. Expect Thai pad rounds, heavy bag conditioning, and partner drills that build the timing for sweeps, knees, and teeps. Hand wraps required from week one.

Personal Training

One-on-one with a head coach, built around what you actually want — first amateur fight, drop-off in your guard, getting back into shape after a layoff, or a fitness test for a job. Sessions run 60 minutes and book directly into a coach's calendar. Bring goals, leave with a plan and a timeline.

Women's MMA

A women-only space to learn and spar mixed martial arts without the typical gym dynamics getting in the way. Same curriculum as the open MMA stream, taught by senior coaches, with partner drills paired by size and experience. Suitable from total beginner to active competitor — many of FCG's amateur card fighters started in this class.

Wrestling Classes

Wrestling for combat sports — singles, doubles, snap-downs, and the chain wrestling that links them. Builds the takedown game most BJJ and Muay Thai players are missing and gives MMA athletes the entries they need to dictate where the fight happens. Hard conditioning, technical fundamentals, and live wrestling rounds in every session.
